From heartbreak to history — Pakistan’s Olympic hero finally brings home Asian gold 🏅
He broke Olympic records. He made a nation believe. And now, Arshad Nadeem has done what he always dreamed of — winning the Asian Athletics Championship gold!

With a stunning throw of 86.40 meters in Gumi, South Korea, Arshad turned the missing piece in his career into another glittering medal for Pakistan.
“Alhamdulillah — another gold for Pakistan!” he wrote with joy. “To Allah, to my coaches, to every Pakistani who prayed — this victory is yours.”
After bronzes in 2016 and 2018, and a sixth-place finish in 2019, this gold was personal. It was emotional. It was overdue.

Fresh off making history at the Paris Olympics with a world-shaking 92.97m throw, Arshad returned to the Asian stage like a warrior, determined to finish what he started.

Even as he struggled to find rhythm early on — with throws in the 70s and low 80s — he never stopped fighting. Then came the final attempt — a soaring javelin that pierced the sky and landed in glory. 86.40m. GOLD.

India’s Sachin Yadav settled for silver (85.16m), while Japan’s Yuta Sakiyama took bronze (83.75m). Pakistan’s other hopeful Muhammad Yasir Sultan finished eighth.
🎉 A Mother’s Pride, A Nation’s Joy
Back in Mian Channu, Arshad’s mother was in tears — of pride and gratitude:
“This medal is for our brave army — for every martyr. My son lives to lift this country’s name. Now let me make him his favorite kheer! We’ll celebrate like never before.”
President Zardari and PM Shehbaz Sharif called him the “pride of Pakistan,” praising his unbreakable spirit and hard work.
💫 From Paris to Gumi — and Beyond
This is not just another medal. It’s a message — that Arshad is not done yet. He’s rewriting history, one throw at a time.
“This journey is far from over,” he said. “Pakistan, we rise together. Insha’Allah — more glory awaits!”
