Federal Government to Start Construction of key Roads in Sindh – CHIEF MINISTER

The federal government has announced the commencement of major highway construction in Sindh.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar assured Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah that funding for these projects will be provided soon. This assurance was given during a meeting on Friday with a high-level Sindh delegation.

CM Shah highlighted the need to complete the Jamshoro to Sehwan national highway and informed Dar that the Sindh government has already allocated Rs7 billion for this initiative. The expansion of the Mehran Highway was also discussed as part of the province’s infrastructure development plans.

Dar confirmed that funds for Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects in Sindh will be released shortly, and the meeting also addressed economic challenges and potential solutions.

In a separate meeting, CM Shah discussed climate change issues and future collaboration with a United Nations delegation led by Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator Mohamed Yahya. The UN coordinator praised the provincial government’s efforts in supporting UN agencies under the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
