A legal case has been filed against Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s founding chairman and former First Lady, following her recent video statement. The case has been registered under the Telegraph Act of 1885 in connection with her statement.
According to media , the case was filed at the Jamal Khan police station in Dera Ghazi Khan, Punjab, at the request of a man named Ghulam Yaseen. Meanwhile, PTI leaders have distanced themselves from Bushra Bibi’s statement, citing its potentially harmful consequences.
The FIR states that the complainant watched Bushra Bibi’s statement on a private channel and believes it to be part of a conspiracy aimed at damaging relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The complainant further argued that the statement hurt the sentiments of the Pakistani public and was a deliberate attempt to cause harm, calling for legal action against her.
It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, Bushra Bibi claimed that when Imran Khan walked barefoot in Madinah, former Army Chief received calls from Saudi authorities expressing concerns and asking, “Who are these self-proclaimed guardians of religion you have brought?” Additionally, PTI’s leadership has distanced itself from Bushra Bibi’s statement, describing it as her personal opinion.
