The Central Drug Testing Lab (CDTL) Karachi has confirmed that the medicines seized from a Korangi warehouse were fake and unregistered, lacking manufacturer details.
The Rs. 10 billion stock, confiscated by customs on February 26, included painkillers and capsules of Indian origin.
Meanwhile, the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle Islamabad arrested suspects involved in selling counterfeit drugs, continuing its crackdown on illegal pharmaceuticals.
Investigations are ongoing.
