Polio Cases Surge to 64 in Pakistan: Fourth Case of the Year Reported in Jacobabad

Another case of polio virus has been reported in Pakistan. A child from the Jacobabad district of Sindh has been affected by the polio virus, as confirmed by the National Institute of Health (NIH).

According to the NIH, the total number of polio cases in the country this year has reached 64, with this being the fourth case from Jacobabad.

So far, there have been 26 cases reported from Balochistan, 18 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 18 from Sindh.

One case each has been reported from Punjab and Islamabad.
