Israeli Iron Dome and Gulf War Footage Misused to Fabricate Indian Military Dominance
A 48-page report by the “Fake News Watchdog” has blown the lid off Indian media’s fake news campaign during the recent Indo-Pak war scare (May 7–10). The report exposes how Indian channels, backed by the Modi government, ran a full-blown propaganda war with fake videos, deepfakes, and old footage—trying to spin a victory story that never happened.
During “Operation Sindoor” and “Operation Bunyān Marsūs,” Indian media pushed false stories of attacks in Pakistan, using old Israeli Iron Dome clips and animated missile videos as “real footage.” India Today even passed off CGI as actual strikes.
The most shocking? A deepfake of Pakistan’s PM suggesting defeat, old Iraq war footage tied to Pulwama, and fake headlines like “Pak Army Chief Arrested” and “Indian Troops Enter Islamabad.”
Fake news didn’t stop there—bogus reports showed Pakistani jets shot down, pilots captured, and even AI-generated clips of U.S. and Israeli jets landing in India. Zee News and India Today were at the frontlines of this fake media blitz.
The Indian Defence Minister’s claim of killing 100 Pakistanis? Totally false. Even fake screenshots of global war stats were spread online.
After the ceasefire, India’s media machine faced global embarrassment—and its credibility tanked.
