Cyclone Biperjoy: Pakistan and India on high alert as cyclone intensifies

-

Cyclone Biperjoy has further intensified and is now an Extremely Severe Cyclonic Storm (ESCS). The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that the next 36 hours are critical, as the cyclone is expected to make landfall between Keti Bunder in Sindh and the Indian state of Gujarat on the afternoon of June 15.

The PMD has advised people in coastal areas to take all necessary precautions, including moving to safer locations, as the cyclone is likely to cause widespread damage. The cyclone is expected to bring heavy rains, strong winds, and high tides, which could lead to flooding, landslides, and damage to property.

The PMD has also warned that the cyclone could cause disruption to flights and shipping. People in coastal areas are advised to stay updated on the latest weather forecasts and follow the instructions of the local authorities.

The cyclone is a reminder of the power of nature and the importance of being prepared for natural disasters. By taking the necessary precautions, we can help to keep ourselves and our families safe.
