Big win for Pakistan! A brilliant student team from NUST has qualified for the final round of the international Kibo Robot Programming Challenge 2025, where they’ll get to program real robots aboard the International Space Station (ISS)!

NUST Students Qualify for Global Space Robotics Final

Out of 51 global teams, Team “5AM” from NUST made it to the Top 13, earning a spot in this high-stakes space showdown. The challenge is run by Japan’s space agency JAXA and the UN, and tasks students with sending commands to free-floating robots in zero gravity!

It’s a proud moment for Pakistan’s youth and space science! SUPARCO, the national space agency, celebrated this achievement and vowed continued support for young tech talent across the country.
