Indian cricket superstar, Virat Kohli, found himself in the middle of an altercation with LSG player, Naveen-ul-Haq, and former teammate turned rival mentor, Gautam Gambhir. Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) emerged victorious against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a nail-biting encounter, but the game was marred by the heated exchange. The altercation began in the 17th over of the game when Kohli got enraged over something Naveen said. Even an umpire and another player couldn’t calm their emotions. Later, when the teams shook hands after the game, Kohli and Naveen were seen growling at each other once again. The tension escalated when Gambhir got involved. It is speculated that the altercation could have stemmed from Gambhir’s aggressive celebrations after LSG beat RCB a few days back. Kohli’s aggressive response seemed to be a fitting reply to Gambhir’s over-the-top celebrations.
