Pakistan’s Fastest Athlete Shajar Abbas Demands His Dues from HEC

In a notable development, Pakistan’s fastest athlete, Shajar Abbas, has expressed concerns about the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) failure to pay his prize money.

He has formally written to the HEC regarding the issue of not receiving his prize money.

In his letter, Abbas mentioned that although he secured first place in the 100-meter race in 2022, he has not yet received the corresponding prize money.

The letter also highlighted that he has earned two gold and silver medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter races at the National Championship, yet the HEC has not disbursed any prize money.

The national athlete noted that he is frequently summoned to the office, where he feels disrespected, despite his efforts to bring honor to the country on an international scale.

Shajar Abbas has signaled his intention to pursue legal action against the HEC, stating that if the commission fails to provide the prize money, he will soon seek recourse in the higher judiciary.
