The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is intensifying its efforts to prepare Islamabad for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
CDA is fully committed to ensuring everything is in place for the highly anticipated event.
On Tuesday, Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa led a key meeting to assess the ongoing beautification of Islamabad and the renovation of the Jinnah Convention Center (JCC).
The Jinnah Convention Center is undergoing a significant upgrade to meet international standards, focusing on modernizing its infrastructure and integrating smart technologies.
New installations, including SMD screens, digital boards, advanced conferencing systems, and high-speed internet, are being introduced to guarantee seamless operations during the summit.
Premium-quality furniture and carpets have replaced the old ones, enhancing the venue’s overall look.
The surrounding area will also see improvements, with landscaping, horticultural work, and new tree plantations creating a more attractive environment.
Chairman Randhawa stressed the importance of positioning the Jinnah Convention Centre as a top venue for hosting prestigious international events.
“Our goal is to elevate this facility to world-class standards, making it fully prepared to welcome dignitaries and delegates for the SCO Summit and beyond,” said the chairman.
The CDA is pushing to complete the renovations on time, with Chairman Randhawa directing teams to work around the clock to meet the deadline
