Gautam Gambhir has been appointed as the new head coach of the Indian cricket team, succeeding Rahul Dravid following their recent World Cup victory.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has reportedly offered Gambhir an annual salary ranging between INR 100 to 120 million, with monthly earnings estimated at INR 10 million, according to Indian media reports.
Gambhir, renowned for leading the Kolkata Knight Riders to an IPL title and scoring over 10,000 international runs during his playing career, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
BCCI Secretary Jay Shah expressed confidence in Gambhir’s ability to guide Indian cricket forward, citing his deep understanding of the game’s evolving dynamics and his clear vision for the team’s future success.
