Shah requested more leniency from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi regarding the Champions Trophy conditions.
In a major showdown over the Champions Trophy, the Pakistan Cricket Board has stood firm, rejecting ICC Chairman Jay Shah‘s offer of additional financial incentives. The move highlights Pakistan’s determination to prioritize dignity over financial gains.
On Thursday, tensions rose as ICC Chairman Jay Shah offered additional financial incentives to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), only for the offer to be firmly declined. Sources reveal that Shah requested more leniency from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi regarding the Champions Trophy conditions.
Despite efforts to resolve the deadlock, the meeting in Dubai ended without a consensus. Following this, Shah privately approached Naqvi, but the PCB remained steadfast, emphasizing that dignity, not money, was their priority. Pakistan will not back down from its position as the ICC board prepares to meet again on December 7.
