Pakistan’s national hockey team is grappling with serious challenges both on and off the field, as financial constraints threaten their preparations for major international tournaments.
A striking example of these difficulties is their current trip to China. Tariq Bugti, President of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), revealed that the team had to rely on “borrowed tickets” to make the journey.
Despite these setbacks, they showed remarkable resilience by securing a thrilling 4-4 draw against the host nation as they prepare for the upcoming Asian Champions Trophy.
The Asian Champions Trophy will be held in Hulunbuir City, China, from September 8 to September 17, featuring teams like India, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, and China.
