In a remarkable achievement for Pakistan, Abdul Mueed Baloch has added another medal to his collection at the World Cadet Games in Venezuela.
His performance continues to showcase his exceptional talent on the international stage.
Mueed Baloch has earned another prestigious accolade by winning a silver medal at the World Cadet Games in Venezuela on Thursday.
Competing for the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), the 23-year-old Baloch finished the 200-meter race in 21.72 seconds, securing second place. The gold medal was claimed by a Venezuelan athlete who completed the race in 21.69 seconds.
Earlier this week, Baloch also clinched a gold medal in the 400-meter race with a time of 48.20 seconds.
A native of Shanti Nagar, Karachi, Baloch is a national champion in both the 200-meter and 400-meter events. He gained recognition as the fastest athlete after winning the 100-meter race at the 2018 Asian Junior Athletics Championship and holds Pakistan’s national record for the 400 meters with a time of 46.73 seconds.
Baloch began his athletic career in 2015, initially competing in football before transitioning to track and field. His debut came at the Aman Tech 100m sprint where he clocked 12.50 seconds.
The fourth International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Cadet Games, which began on August 17, are being held at the Fuerte Tiuna military base in Caracas, Venezuela. This event, first initiated in 2010, is a key component of the CISM framework.
