Nightmare for India All-Out for 46 in Test Debacle Against New Zealand

In a shocking turn of events, New Zealand’s bowlers dominated India’s batting lineup .

In the first Test match of the series, being played at the Bengaluru Cricket Stadium, India won the toss and chose to bat first, a decision that proved disastrous

New Zealand bowled out the Indian team for just 46 runs in their first innings .Rishabh Pant was the highest scorer with 20 runs.

The Kiwi bowlers became a nightmare for India, with five Indian players getting out for a duck.

The players dismissed for zero include Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin, while only two players managed to reach double figures.

This is India’s third lowest score in Test cricket, and also their lowest score on home soil.

Their previous lowest at home was 75 against the West Indies in New Delhi in 1987. Their lowest overall is 36 against Australia in a pink-ball Adelaide Test in 2020.

New Zealand’s fast bowler Matt Henry took five wickets in this remarkable performance.
