As whispers made the rounds claiming the Aussie skipper stormed out of a practice session upset over pitch conditions, the Karachi Kings have stepped in to set the record straight: there was no drama, just dedication.
According to the franchise, Warner spent quality time at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, batting for several overs before joining an intra-squad match on the Oval Ground. He even took the field, actively participating in team drills.

The confusion? Sources say Warner opted to skip a media appearance—not practice—to focus on evaluating his squad ahead of PSL 10. With the previous day’s training session scrapped, the timing gave him a perfect window to sharpen strategy before the Kings’ opening match.
The media frenzy was also fueled by Warner’s known liking for flat tracks—unlike Pakistan’s occasionally unpredictable practice pitches. But insiders insist there was no walkout, no pitch rant, and definitely no meltdown.
His absence from the PSL 10 captains’ conference added fuel to the fire. While other skippers showed up—Rizwan, Shaheen, Babar, Shadab, and Saud—Karachi was represented by newly appointed vice-captain Hasan Ali. Once again, the reason was simple: Warner stayed back to focus on team prep.
Karachi Kings launch their PSL campaign on April 12 at the National Bank Stadium against Multan Sultans, a day after the season opens with Islamabad United vs. Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
