Pakistan continues to shine in the world of competitive scrabble, achieving a new milestone with a remarkable victory.
Affan Salman, a 16-year-old from Pakistan, led the nation to claim the World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC) title in Sri Lanka for the fifth time.
Affan secured his win by triumphing in 19 out of 23 games.
This achievement makes Pakistan the first country to win the WYSC title five times. A total of 138 players from across the globe participated in this year’s event.
The World Youth Scrabble Championship, which began in Wollongong, Australia, in 2006, has attracted participants from over 20 countries, including Australia, India, Malaysia, and the United States.
Open to players under 18, the tournament has been held in various countries, including Malaysia, Dubai, and the Philippines.
