Marriage should happen only when a woman feels confident about building a future with her chosen partner.
Renowned journalist, host, filmmaker, and former wife of PTI’s founder, Reham Khan, recently clarified her advice to actress Hania Aamir about avoiding marriage.
Reham appeared as a guest on a podcast where she discussed various topics and addressed a question regarding her earlier statement to Hania Aamir about marriage.
Reham Khan’s Take on Marriage Advice
Reham shared, “After my comment, people criticized me, saying I keep getting married but advise Hania against it. However, I believe one should marry only when they genuinely feel the need for a life partner.”
She continued, “I understand that when women enter their 20s or 30s, societal pressure and their biological clock create stress. Parents impose restrictions, and many women assume marriage will bring them freedom—but that’s often not the case.”
Reham emphasized, “The advice I gave Hania is the same advice I give my daughters: focus on building your career, empower yourself, and then consider marriage.”
She concluded, “Marriage should happen only when a woman feels confident about building a future with her chosen partner.”
