Fazila Qazi’s Emotional Appeal: Five Years of Waiting for Due Recognition
Veteran actress Fazila Qazi recently voiced her frustration over the lack of recognition for her contributions.
She revealed that her file for the Presidential Award has been pending for five years, yet the selection committee continues to overlook her while others are chosen.
Appearing alongside her husband, Qaiser Nizamani, on the show Hansna Mana Hai, the couple discussed various issues, including the state awards process.
Both actors expressed concerns about the award selection criteria, though Qaiser Nizamani also thanked the government for acknowledging his work.
Qaiser shared that he received his Presidential Award at a time when such honors were solely based on merit. He attributed his award to his hard work, family’s support, and the love of his audience, and expressed his gratitude to the state of Pakistan.
Fazila agreed that receiving the Presidential Award is a significant accomplishment, but humorously pointed out that her husband received his award when it wasn’t given out so easily.
She revealed that her own nomination has remained pending for five years. She explained that TV channels and other individuals often recommend candidates for these awards, leading to the creation of nomination files.
In a sarcastic tone, she remarked that the committee in charge of the awards seems to consistently overlook her, choosing others instead.
She further added that she’s unsure who is responsible at the Cabinet Division, as they seem to miss deserving candidates but select others.
