Ah, the salaries of Members of the National Assembly (MNA) in our beloved Pakistan – a topic that surely brings tears of sympathy to the eyes of the struggling masses.
As the nation grapples with poverty, unemployment, and a myriad of other pressing issues, it’s truly heartwarming to know that our esteemed MNAs are generously compensated for their tireless efforts in… well, let’s just say, “serving the people.”

Each MNA in the lower house is eligible to earn over Rs188,000 per month, which includes a basic salary and perks, confirms the national assembly.
An official at the cash and accounts branch of the national assembly, who asked not to be named, explained that the breakdown of each parliamentarian’s remuneration was provided in The Members of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) Act 1974, an updated version of which was publicly available on the website of the national assembly.
