Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to deepening its collaboration with China in critical sectors, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and agriculture, during a meeting with the Chinese envoy, Jiang Zaidong, in Islamabad on Monday.
Highlighting the enduring strategic partnership between the two nations, the Prime Minister noted that Pakistan-China friendship is vital for not just bilateral progress, but also for regional and global stability.

Shehbaz Sharif praised China’s unwavering support during Pakistan’s challenging times and acknowledged the visionary leadership of China in advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He underscored the need to elevate this partnership, particularly through the development of industrial zones under CPEC, to boost economic growth and technological innovation in Pakistan.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, also revisited the Prime Minister’s recent visit to China, where he actively encouraged Chinese investments in Pakistan.
The discussions are set to drive the strategic partnership forward, with a focus on leveraging AI and modern agricultural practices to enhance Pakistan’s economic resilience.
