-

CHANGA MANGA: A staff member of the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) suffered severe injuries and lost both arms after receiving a severe electric shock while repairing 11KV power lines in Changa Manga, Punjab.

The employee, Nasir, was working on the 11KV wires when the accident occurred. Despite being rushed to the hospital, doctors had to amputate both of his arms to save his life. Nasir was reportedly repairing the lines at the Sidha feeder under the supervision of SDO Amjad.

Nasir was informed that the electricity supply had been cut off from the grid, but it was still active at the time of the accident, leading to his injuries.

This incident underscores the risks faced by utility workers and raises concerns about safety protocols in high-risk environments.
