ECP Fines Hafiz Naeemur Rehman Rs.10,000

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) fined Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman Rs.10,000 on Thursday for allegedly violating the election code of conduct.

District Monitoring Officer Muhammad Saleem Abbasi had summoned Hafiz Naeem, also UC Chairman of North Nazimabad’s UC-08, to respond regarding his participation in a “Bano Qabil” event in Gulberg ahead of local government by-elections.

The ECP deemed the event a violation of its rules, resulting in fines for Hafiz Naeem, Gulberg Town Chairman Nusratullah, and UC Chairman Farooq Naimatullah.
