Sindh authorities have disclosed the heartbreaking details surrounding the deaths of 13 individuals in Khairpur, Sindh, which occurred about a month ago.
The circumstances of these fatalities, which took place near Khairpur, have now been clarified.
A boy and a girl allegedly caused devastation in an entire household after declining to marry. A medical board report indicated that all the victims were poisoned. As a result, police have arrested Shaista and Amir Bakhsh, who are accused of administering the poison, and have filed charges against them.
The investigation into the deaths of the 13 individuals from Haibat Brohi village in the Pir Jo Goth tehsil has made significant headway. After consuming a meal, these family members became ill and were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Khairpur, where all 13, including six girls, succumbed to their condition.
To uncover the cause of death, the Commissioner of Sukkur, the Deputy Commissioner of Khairpur, and local police established a medical board. Ten days ago, the administration of the Civil Hospital and the medical board confirmed that poisoning was the cause of death.
In light of this discovery, the police have launched additional investigations, supervised directly by SSP Khairpur Dr. Samiullah Soomro.
