Careem Introduces ‘Later Booking’ Feature – Schedule Rides Up to Two Hours in Advance

-

Careem, a leading ride-hailing service in Pakistan, has launched a new “Later Booking” feature that allows users to schedule their rides at least two hours ahead of time.

This new option aims to provide customers with a dependable ride exactly when they need it, even if there are connectivity issues.

The feature is ideal for a range of users, including students, office workers, and those needing rides to the airport or special events.

To use the “Later Booking” feature, open the Careem app, choose your ride type, and select your preferred time from the “NOW” dropdown menu.

The system includes multiple safeguards to ensure a smooth experience. It contacts the assigned driver to confirm their availability, provides a 15-minute waiting period after the driver arrives, and ensures the best vehicles are available.

Imran Saleem, Careem’s General Manager, commented, “Mobility is crucial in our daily lives. We are aware of the specific needs of our market and are dedicated to enhancing user experiences with features like this one. Whether it’s a student heading to class or a professional preparing for an important meeting, this feature is designed to make their lives easier.”

In addition to the “Later Booking” feature, Careem offers a “Premium 5 & 10” service, which lets users book a ride for extended periods, such as five hours or a full day of ten hours. This service is especially useful for events like weddings or long-distance travel requiring ongoing transportation.
