On International Yoga Day, Syed Ubaidullah Shah talked with InShort News about the common misunderstandings about Yoga in our society. Some people think it’s just about physical exercise like aerobics. Others believe it’s tied to a specific culture or encourages people to disconnect from their daily life.

Unlike exercise, which focuses on physical fitness and strength through intense activities, yoga aims to bring together the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga consists of four main parts: stretching, bending, twisting the body, and controlling your breathing.

It involves gentle movements that improve flexibility, balance, and relaxation. Yoga also includes breathing exercises, meditation, and techniques for calming the mind and emotions.
