According to the latest report by the MET Office, Karachi and other districts of Sindh are likely to receive rainfall with thunderstorms due to a fresh weather system on Thursday. This weather system is expected to bring scattered dust and thunderstorms with rain in different areas of Sindh, including the Karachi division, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Ghotki, and many other districts.
The weather department has warned that this weather system may result in heavy rainfall, with few moderate to isolated heavy falls and hailstorms from Friday (28th April) till 1st May, with occasional gaps. The heavy rainfall may lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas of the Qambar-Shahdadkot, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Sanghar, Matiari, and Badin districts. In addition, strong winds may also cause damage to loose and vulnerable structures.
However, the temperature in Karachi is expected to remain hot today, with the temperature ranging between 33 to 35 Celsius and a wind speed of 20 to 25 kilometers per hour.
