Pakistan has launched Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq in response to what officials describe as unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime along the Pak-Afghan border.
According to security sources, Pakistan’s Air Force and Army carried out coordinated strikes, resulting in the killing of 133 Afghan Taliban operatives and injuries to more than 200 others. A total of 27 Afghan check posts were completely destroyed, while nine posts were captured and the Pakistani flag was hoisted. Three Afghan battalions and a sector headquarters were reportedly eliminated, and an arms depot was reduced to rubble.
During the counter-offensive, more than 80 tanks, artillery units, and armored vehicles were destroyed. Two Pakistani soldiers were martyred in the line of duty, while three sustained injuries.
Pakistan Air Force Strikes Nangarhar, Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia
Security officials confirmed that the Pakistan Air Force launched major air operations, destroying a large ammunition depot in Nangarhar.
In Kabul, two brigade headquarters were reportedly destroyed. In Kandahar, a corps headquarters, brigade headquarters, ammunition depot, and logistics base were targeted. In Paktia, a corps headquarters was also neutralized during the airstrikes.
Drone Operations and Border Response
Pakistani security forces also used drones to selectively target Afghan Taliban regime positions. In South Waziristan, the Dawood Post was destroyed.
Attempts by the Afghan Taliban to attack Pakistani check posts using quadcopters were foiled, with all drones shot down in a timely response. Heavy shelling with small and large weapons continues as part of the operation.
Security sources claim that Taliban-affiliated media outlets are spreading false claims and fake videos regarding the situation.
Major Border Sectors Targeted
Pakistani forces targeted and destroyed Afghan check posts in multiple sectors, including:
- Chitral Sector
- Nawagai Sector (Bajaur)
- Tirah (Khyber)
- Mohmand District
- Arandu Sector (Chitral)
- Gursal Sector (Mohmand)
In Bajaur, two Afghan Taliban posts were destroyed. Officials stated that Pakistan remains fully prepared to respond firmly and immediately to any further aggression.

A mosque in Bajaur was also damaged during the shelling, with its roof and other sections severely affected. Injured civilians were shifted to Khar Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
