Bollywood filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt has made an emotional revelation — he was never invited to his niece Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding. The veteran producer admitted the decision left him deeply hurt.
Speaking to Indian media, Mukesh said, “If I say it didn’t hurt, I’d be lying. I love Alia and Shaheen like my own daughters. When Alia got married, I felt it was my own child’s wedding — I wanted to be there.”
He also revealed that he hasn’t met Alia and Ranbir’s daughter Raha, who turned three this year. “My eyes long to see Raha. I adore children, and though I never sent a message after her birth, I’ve always prayed for her,” he added.
Explaining why he chose silence, Mukesh said he didn’t want to make Alia uncomfortable or put her in a difficult spot with her father, Mahesh Bhatt, with whom Mukesh reportedly had a fallout in 2021.
The brothers’ rift began when Mukesh announced that his children — Sakshi and Vishesh — would take over Vishesh Films, a production house behind hits like Aashiqui, Raaz, Murder, Gangster, and Sadak. He clarified the company was always his, while Mahesh served as a creative advisor.
Since then, the once inseparable brothers have remained distant — a family bond now shadowed by silence.
