⚽The countdown to FIFA World Cup 26 has hit a milestone with the official unveiling of TRIONDA, the tournament’s match ball by Adidas.
Meaning “three waves” in Spanish, the ball celebrates the unprecedented union of the three host nations—Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

TRIONDA’s design reflects the spirit of the tournament, featuring a red, green, and blue palette inspired by the host countries’ flags, with gold detailing honoring the iconic FIFA World Cup Trophy.
National symbols—a maple leaf for Canada, an eagle for Mexico, and a star for the United States—adorn the ball, while a four-panel triangular center symbolizes unity.

Beyond aesthetics, TRIONDA boasts advanced performance features, including deep seams for stable flight and embossed icons for improved grip in wet conditions. For the second consecutive World Cup, the ball integrates connected ball technology with a 500Hz motion sensor, providing precise real-time data to the VAR system for accurate decisions.
The launch follows key FIFA announcements, including the unveiling of official mascots, a pledge to donate $1 per ticket to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, and record-breaking ticket interest from over 4.5 million fans worldwide.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised TRIONDA, calling it “another iconic FIFA World Cup ball” that embodies the unity and passion of the three hosts. The ball’s launch sets the stage for a World Cup that promises to be bigger, bolder, and more united than ever before, leading up to the Final Draw in Washington DC on 5 December 2025.
