Navratri 2025, which began on September 22 and runs till October 2, is not just being celebrated in India but also across Pakistan — and the videos are taking social media by storm.
Pakistani Hindu creators like Pritam Dewriya and Dheeraj shared vibrant clips from Karachi, where the community gathered in traditional attire for Garba and Dandiya nights. The colorful celebrations highlighted how Pakistan’s Hindu community — mostly concentrated in Sindh and parts of Balochistan — continues to uphold centuries-old traditions with pride.

As the clips went viral, many Indian users expressed both surprise and joy. Some wrote: “It feels amazing to see Navratri celebrated with such passion in Pakistan.” Others congratulated the Hindu community with heart emojis, while a few even raised questions about how religious festivals are practiced in Pakistan.
Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Durga’s nine forms, is one of the biggest Hindu festivals worldwide. Each of the nine days is associated with a specific color — such as white, red, yellow, blue, and green — and marked by fasting, prayers, and dance rituals. In Pakistan, Hindu communities often organize Garba nights in temples and community halls, particularly in Karachi, Hyderabad, Umerkot, and Tharparkar, regions with significant Hindu populations.
The celebration also reflects religious harmony and cultural diversity in Pakistan, where minority communities continue to preserve their faith and traditions.
