Weather on Eid-PMD Warns of Scorching Holidays

-

Eid vibes might be high, but so will the temperatures! The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has dropped a heat alert, predicting a hot and dry Eid ahead for Karachi.

Temps are set to hover between 36°C and 38°C during the holidays, with dry winds kicking in from the northwest. And it’s only getting hotter—expect a spike to 39°C from April 4.

Chief Meteorologist Muhammad Afzal isn’t sugarcoating it—Pakistan’s in for a major heat surge in the coming months. With urban heat island effects in play, metro areas could face heatwave conditions. Karachi, in particular, is looking at a 3°C to 4°C rise above normal, making Eid celebrations extra toasty. Stay hydrated and keep that sunscreen handy!
