Nawaz Sharif’s Son Hassan Nawaz Declared Defaulter, Fined £5.2 Million

-

In a major crackdown on tax evasion, the UK government has declared Hassan Nawaz, son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, a tax defaulter and imposed a £5.2 million fine on him.

According to the UK Revenue and Customs list, Hassan Nawaz failed to pay approximately £9.4 million in taxes for the 2015-16 period. His name and residential address—Avenfield House, Park Lane—have been publicly listed on an official government website.

Legal experts emphasize that despite his declared bankruptcy, UK tax laws do not exempt defaulters from penalties, making recovery of the fine inevitable.

Reports suggest that British authorities are taking a firm stance on tax enforcement, ensuring that no one, regardless of status, is above the law.
