The ceremony brought together JI supporters, where leaders including Hafiz Naeemur Rehman and Hamas official Khaled Qaddoumi praised the resilience of the people of Gaza and the success of the ceasefire.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman described the ceasefire as a victory for faith and perseverance. He criticized the United States for its support of Israel and highlighted the collapse of Israel’s economy and internal instability.

Rehman also pointed out that despite threats from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to destroy Hamas, the group remains strong. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Palestine and urged people to boycott Israeli products.

Khaled Qaddoumi expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support and celebrated Gaza’s unwavering resilience, noting that 90% of the population had been left homeless. He revealed that more than 10,000 Israeli soldiers had been killed or injured during the conflict, a significant blow to Israel.

In a significant development, Israel released 90 Palestinian prisoners as part of the first phase of a truce, following the handover of three Israeli hostages by Hamas. With the ceasefire in place, thousands of displaced Palestinians began returning to their homes, despite the widespread destruction.

This ceasefire, brokered by Qatar, the US, and Egypt, provides a crucial window for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and the possibility of future negotiations for a permanent peace agreement.
