Sara Ali Khan is taking her role in Sky Force to the next level by cutting out all distractions—yes, even her phone! In what can only be described as a bold move for a Bollywood star, Sara reportedly gave up her phone during filming, committing to staying fully immersed in her character. No texting, no selfies, just pure acting focus.
According to sources close to the production, Sara, who portrays the wife of an Indian soldier, T. Vijaya (played by Veer Pahariya), decided to ditch not just her phone but any other activity that could divert her attention. It was all about staying grounded in her role to do justice to the emotional depth of her character.
“Sara Ali Khan was a one-woman meditation retreat on set,” revealed an insider with a chuckle. “She would sit quietly, eyes locked on her script and delivery, as if the world didn’t exist. No glancing at the phone, no random conversations—just pure concentration. Her goal was to stay emotionally connected to her character and reflect the blend of hope and uncertainty that comes with being the wife of a soldier. It was impressive!”
The source added, “Honestly, you could’ve waved a phone in front of her face, and she wouldn’t have flinched!”
The film, a war thriller directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, also stars Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur. After a delay from last October’s release, Sky Force is now scheduled to hit theaters on January 24, just in time for Indian Republic Day. The only thing left to wonder now is whether Sara’s phone will even recognize her when it finally gets a look at her!
