Sports are Meant to Unite, not Divide:Tarrar

In response to India’s refusal to participate in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan, the country has taken a soft, peace-driven approach, focusing on love and unity rather than aggression.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, during the closing ceremony of the Champions T20 Cup, emphasized the importance of keeping sports and politics separate. He called for attention to the positive impact the event will have on the region, underscoring Pakistan’s commitment to showcasing its rich culture and promoting tourism.

Additionally, Tarar announced that Pakistan would ease its visa policies for international cricket fans attending the tournament, set to start on February 19, 2025, in Karachi.

His message was clear: sports are meant to unite, not divide, and despite political tensions, Pakistan is ready to extend a warm welcome to foreign teams and spectators, creating an atmosphere of global camaraderie and friendly competition.
