Officials confirmed that at least 30 children were killed in the stampede at the festival in the southwestern Nigerian state of Oyo.

It is reported that the festival was organized by a non-governmental organization called “Women in Need of Guidance and Support,” and the police are questioning its founder, Naomi Slikowonla.
According to reports, the organizers had planned food and gift items for 5,000 children, but by around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, nearly 8,000 people had gathered at the venue.
Multiple sources at the scene reported that the victims died in the stampede while attempting to break through the main gate of the venue.
