In the first ODI between South Africa and Pakistan, former South African cricket legend Hashim Amla couldn’t stop praising young Pakistan star Saim Ayub.

Amla, during his commentary, expressed his admiration for Ayub’s maturity and versatility at the crease: “Watching this young player’s magnificent innings, I didn’t feel for a moment that he is a young player. Saim Ayub played his innings like a seasoned pro. He has every type of game; he plays long strokes but also knows how to pace his innings according to the situation. This is a sign of a smart player.”

Amla further added that Pakistan has found a new star in Saim Ayub, and if his performance stays consistent, he could go very far in his career.
