Rebuilding Syria-New PM Assures to Protect Minorities Rights

-

After years of brutal rule and war, Syria is at a turning point

After years of brutal rule and war, Syria is at a turning point. With the fall of President Bashar al-Assad, the country is now facing a new chapter, as the interim prime minister, Mohammad al-Bashir, promises to protect the rights of all religious groups and guide Syria toward a better future. This comes as the U.S. supports a peaceful transition and rebuilding process.

Al-Bashir assured minorities that their rights would be protected under the new government. HTS also promised to hold accountable those responsible for war crimes. Blinken’s visit stresses the importance of rebuilding Syria in a way that prevents it from becoming a base for terrorism.

Syria now faces the challenge of rebuilding after years of war. Al-Bashir encouraged Syrians living abroad to return, and the main airport in Damascus will soon reopen. While people are starting to feel safer, many are struggling with rising prices. The Baath party, once led by Assad, has suspended its activities.
