In the latest results of the Lahore Board’s Intermediate First Annual Examination 2024, female students showcased outstanding performance, claiming the majority of the top positions.
These achievements highlight not only their dedication but also the rising academic excellence of young women in the region.
Rida Fatima, a student from a private college, claimed the first position overall, scoring 1,153 out of 1,200 marks.
The second position was jointly held by two female students: Kashaf Ajwa from Govt Girls Higher Secondary School in Muridke, Sheikhupura, and Asma Ijaz from a private college, both earning 1,152 marks.
Usairam Ahmed from GC University Lahore secured the third position with 1,150 marks.
The top achievers were announced at the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore office on Tuesday.
The complete results of the BISE Lahore’s Intermediate First Annual Examination 2024 will be released on Wednesday (today).
However, three students from the Commerce and Humanities groups will not receive awards, despite having higher marks than others, as they did not complete their Intermediate education within two consecutive years after Matric.
Lahore Board Chairman/Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood clarified that according to Rule (1) 14 of the Lahore Board, students who do not complete their Intermediate education continuously and uninterruptedly within two years after Matric are ineligible for top positions.
In such cases, the awards are given to the next highest-scoring candidates.
