Jamaat-e-Islami has delivered a strong ultimatum to the government, stressing the urgent need to address the nation’s pressing issues.
Jamaat-e-Islami President Hafiz Naeemur Rehman warned that if the government’s promises are not fulfilled within 45 days, the party will escalate protests, potentially leading to a nationwide wheel jam strike.
Speaking at a rally in Lahore, Rehman criticized the government’s delay in addressing key issues like high electricity bills and rising inflation, labeling the situation as unacceptable.
He also expressed concerns about foreign relations, the plight of missing persons in Balochistan, and the government’s overall handling of protests.
The party recently concluded a 14-day sit-in after reaching an agreement with the government.
