Pakistani Scientist Receives Saudi Citizenship under Vision 2030 Initiative

Dr. Khan, holding both American and Pakistani citizenship, leads the Hevolution Foundation as CEO, focusing on advancing aging treatments and broadening access to life-enhancing therapeutics.

With a nearly $1 billion annual budget, the foundation is a major global contributor to geroscience, studying aging’s impact on chronic diseases.

His acquisition of Saudi citizenship aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, aimed at attracting top global talent to drive economic and social development.

This initiative, enacted through a royal decree in November 2021, invites experts in science, medicine, culture, sports, and technology to apply for Saudi citizenship, emphasizing the kingdom’s commitment to innovation.

Educated at the University of Liverpool Medical School, Dr. Khan’s career highlights include leadership roles at Life Biosciences Inc., PepsiCo, and Takeda Pharmaceuticals. A fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology, he advises aspiring professionals to continuously evolve to remain competitive in their fields
