UAE Mosques Ordered to Shorten Friday Sermons

-

To protect worshippers from extreme heat, the UAE’s Islamic Affairs authority has directed mosques to limit Friday sermons and prayers to 10 minutes, effective Friday until early October.

The decision aims to ensure the safety of those attending mosques during the scorching summer months, where temperatures often exceed 40°C (104°F).
