Washington (AP): President Donald Trump issued a blunt warning to Hamas on Wednesday, demanding the immediate release of all hostages in Gaza. His statement followed confirmation of unprecedented U.S.-Hamas talks.
After meeting former hostages at the White House, Trump declared, “Release all hostages now and return the bodies, or it is OVER for you.” He condemned Hamas as “sick and twisted,” pledging full support for Israel.
For the first time since 1997, U.S. officials secretly engaged with Hamas in Doha, Qatar. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed the talks but withheld details, stressing Trump’s authorization to negotiate with “anyone necessary.”
With the ceasefire at risk, Trump’s warning could force Hamas to act—or trigger new conflict.
