In a bold display of unity and love, the Pakistani community in the UAE has etched its name in the Guinness World Records — with 24,514 handprints, forming the largest UAE flag ever created.

Spearheaded by Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), in collaboration with ‘Emirates Loves’ and artist Rubab Zahra, the vibrant tribute featured handprints from over 100 nationalities — each a symbol of gratitude during the UAE’s Year of Community.

The flag was unveiled at a grand ceremony at Pakistan Auditorium, where a Guinness World Records official confirmed the feat before 250 guests, including Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi and Consul General Hussain Muhammad.

“This record is more than a number — it’s a celebration of the UAE’s journey, a land of innovation, inclusion, and dreams,”
said Ambassador Tirmizi.
The monumental flag was the grand finale of PAD’s Hands of Unity campaign — a month-long movement across 23 schools and 39 public venues.

Thousands of volunteers, students, and residents contributed their prints, creating a living mosaic of appreciation from the 2 million-strong Pakistani diaspora.

“This is our love letter to the UAE — our second home,” said Dr. Faisal Ikram, President of PAD. “It’s proof of what a united community can achieve.”
The event also featured a moving documentary capturing behind-the-scenes efforts, heartfelt moments, and the tireless energy of a campaign driven by purpose.

Volunteers and partners were honoured for their role in making history.
“This flag tells a story — of belonging, of shared purpose, of what’s possible when hands and hearts come together,” said Khalid Imtiaz, Joint Secretary of PAD.
Hands of Unity is no longer just a campaign — it’s a symbol of what the UAE stands for: diversity, solidarity, and a future shaped by many hands, working as one.
