As the world embraced the new year with celebrations and festivities, Gaza remains drenched in blood. While the world celebrated with fireworks and music, the Palestinian refugee camps in Gaza were devastated by heavy rains, adding to the unbearable cold.

Families, especially women and children, are struggling under open skies without shelter or warmth.

Amid this suffering, the Israeli military marked the new year by turning the skies into a display of missiles and bombs, creating a deadly “fireworks show” over the helpless Palestinians. Within hours of the new year, Israeli forces killed 10 Palestinians, further intensifying the already dire situation.

Moreover, four major hospitals in Gaza were destroyed, leaving countless Palestinian patients with no hope for survival. The devastation has left more than a million Palestinians homeless, struggling to find shelter as they face unimaginable hardships.
