Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Stresses the Importance of Peace and Stability in Afghanistan

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Afghanistan’s Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Islamabad on Saturday to discuss the importance of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Bhutto Zardari said that Pakistan had always stood by the Afghan people and would continue to do so. He noted that Pakistan had provided billions of dollars in humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and would continue to do so. He also said that Pakistan had played a key role in facilitating the Afghan peace process and would continue to do so.

Muttaqi thanked Bhutto Zardari for Pakistan’s support of Afghanistan. He said that Afghanistan needed Pakistan’s support in all areas, especially in the economic and humanitarian sectors.

The two sides also discussed the recent earthquake in Afghanistan and agreed to work together to provide relief to the affected people.

The meeting between Bhutto Zardari and Muttaqi comes at a time when Afghanistan is facing a number of challenges, including a humanitarian crisis, a struggling economy, and a Taliban government that is struggling to gain legitimacy.

Pakistan has been a key player in Afghanistan for many years, and it is clear that the country is committed to helping Afghanistan achieve peace and stability.
