Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments on Palestine, calling them provocative and misleading.
Saudi Arabia Slams Netanyahu’s Stance on Gaza
Saudi Arabia dismissed Netanyahu’s remarks on Palestinian displacement as an attempt to divert attention from Israel’s military actions in Gaza. The Saudi foreign ministry accused Israel of ethnic cleansing and reaffirmed its unwavering support for Palestinian statehood.
“The Palestinian people are rightful owners of their land, not outsiders or migrants who can be expelled at Israel’s whim,” the statement asserted.
GCC Calls Netanyahu’s Remarks “Dangerous and Irresponsible”
The GCC also rejected Netanyahu’s remarks as “dangerous and irresponsible.” Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi criticized Israel’s disregard for international laws and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to a two-state solution with East Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital.
He urged the global community to take a strong stance against Israel’s aggressive rhetoric, warning that such statements threaten regional and global stability.
Pakistan Stands in Solidarity with Saudi Arabia
Pakistan echoed similar sentiments, with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar condemning Netanyahu’s statement as a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions.
“It is extremely unfortunate to misrepresent Saudi Arabia’s position on the Palestinian issue,” Dar said, reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
Dar further stressed that Netanyahu’s remarks undermine the Palestinians’ right to self-determination and called on the world to hold Israel accountable.
“Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia,” he declared, emphasizing that a free Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders is a legitimate right.
Growing Global Pressure on Israel
As tensions escalate, Arab and Islamic nations continue to denounce Israel’s policies, urging global action to protect Palestinian rights and ensure a just resolution to the conflict.
