From summit to spotlight!
Sheikha Asma Al Thani, a Qatari royal, has just conquered one of the world’s deadliest mountains — Pakistan’s mighty Nanga Parbat — and now she’s been appointed as Pakistan’s Brand Ambassador for Mountains and Tourism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made the announcement after her breathtaking achievement, calling her climb a symbol of courage, resilience, and the strong friendship between Pakistan and Qatar.
“Heartfelt congratulations on your powerful ascent. It’s an inspiration for us all,” the PM said on social media.
🌍 Her Words After the Climb:
“Alhamdulillah – Nanga Parbat. It tested me with black ice, falling rocks, and fear. But I found strength I didn’t know I had.”
This was her ninth peak above 8000 metres — and she says she climbs not just for the summit, but to reconnect with what truly matters.
🔥 Why It’s a Big Deal:
Nanga Parbat is known as the “Killer Mountain”, with extreme conditions and one of the highest fatality rates in mountaineering.
Her successful ascent is being hailed as both a personal milestone and a powerful message of adventure tourism and cross-border unity.
